Getting Your Yard Ready for Spring

Whitecap Willie shares simple ways to get your yard ready for spring after a long winter. From clearing branches and leaves to properly bagging debris and checking your container, small cleanup steps can help your home and neighborhood look fresh for the season.

Hey folks, Whitecap Willy here, with Tote tagging along like always.

As March rolls along and temperatures begin to warm up, many folks start looking around their yards and thinking about spring projects.

After a long winter, yards can collect all kinds of debris. Fallen twigs, windblown trash, old decorations, and leftover leaves often show up once the snow finally melts away.

Early spring is a great time to walk around your property and take care of some of that winter buildup.

Picking up loose debris not only makes your yard look better, it also helps prevent trash from blowing into nearby streets or neighboring yards. Tote always says a clean yard makes the whole neighborhood look better.

When cleaning up outside, remember to bag loose debris before placing it in your trash container. Small sticks, leaves, and loose materials can easily spill out of bins if they are not properly bagged.

If you are tackling larger cleanup projects, spreading the work out over a few weeks can help keep your container from becoming overloaded all at once.

March is also a good time to check the condition of your trash container. Winter weather can sometimes crack lids or damage wheels. Making sure your container is still working properly will help avoid headaches later on.

Spring projects are a great way to get outside after a long winter and freshen things up around your home.

Before long, the grass will be turning green and everyone will be spending more time outdoors again.

Until then, Tote and I are proud to help keep things clean as the seasons change.

We will see you on pickup day.
