Hey folks, Whitecap Willy here, with Tote tagging along like always.
By the time the last Friday in January rolls around, winter has usually settled in for the long haul. The excitement of the holidays has passed, decorations are put away, and many homes are left with a little extra clutter from the busy season.
This time of year is a good opportunity to do a simple cleanup around your home. Empty boxes from holiday gifts, packaging from winter deliveries, and other leftover materials can pile up quickly if they are not taken care of.
A quick cleanup around the house, garage, or porch can make a big difference. Breaking down cardboard boxes and clearing out unneeded items helps free up space and keeps things from building up as winter continues.
Tote always reminds folks to flatten large cardboard boxes before placing them in the trash bin. Flattened boxes take up much less room in your container and make pickup day easier for everyone.
If you are cleaning out storage areas or organizing after the holidays, remember to bag smaller trash items securely. Loose debris can spill out of containers, especially when winter winds pick up.
It is also a good idea to take a look at your trash container itself. Snow, ice, and cold temperatures can sometimes cause lids to crack or wheels to loosen. Making sure your bin is in good shape helps keep things running smoothly through the rest of the winter season.
Taking a little time for cleanup now helps keep your property looking neat and prevents trash from blowing into nearby yards or roadways.
At Whitecap Waste, we are proud to help keep our communities clean all year long. And we appreciate customers who take pride in their homes and neighborhoods.
Thanks for doing your part. Tote and I will see you on pickup day.
